Shipyard

Description

Your sailing vessel is a build, not a list of purchases. The Shipyard lets you fit parts to your ship, mount a figurehead on the bow, and buy the equipment that opens up naval content. Everything it sells is paid for with Sailing Currency.

Access

Talk to Sailor Jake on Floor 8 (Navalis). Speaking to him opens the Shipyard window.

Slots and Parts

Your ship has three slots, each holding one part at a time. Every part has its own tier ladder, bought one tier at a time, and owning a part is permanent - swapping which one is fitted costs nothing.

Only the fitted part does anything. Laddering one part deep means giving up what the alternatives in that slot offer, so ships end up specialised rather than uniformly upgraded.

Hull
Survivability and profit. Choose between damage reduction, extra sailing currency from kills at sea, or a hull that punishes attackers.

Sails
Mobility and tempo. Choose between raw movement speed, faster spell recovery, or regeneration while at sea.

Armament
Offence. Choose between straight damage, attack speed, or critical strike chance.

Figureheads

Figureheads are found, not sold. They drop rarely from the crews aboard enemy ships, and each is a self-contained engine that changes how sailing plays. Only one can be mounted at a time, so owning several is a choice rather than a stack.

Use a figurehead to install it permanently. It stays tradeable right up until someone does.

Kraken's Maw
Tentacles strike your target while you sail.

Siren of the Shallows
Your wake slows nearby enemies.

Drowned Saint
The drowned shield you with a barrier each voyage.

Ashen Prow
Your hits set enemies alight.

Deck Equipment

One-time purchases, bought once and kept forever.

Boarding Plank
Required to enter the instanced ship battles. Every member of a party needs their own.

Ship Cannon
Mounts a cannon and unlocks the Cannon Barrage spell, which can only be cast while sailing.

Important

Parts and figureheads work only while you are actually sailing. On land your ship build does nothing.
