Your guild's weekly boss rush against echoes of the floor guardians. Closed beta.

Patch 0.9.9.9.212026-09-24▾
The Abyss - Season 1
The Abyss no longer uses six hand-built rooms. Every run is a new map, and the season brings a tide that turns the fight around.
- Reworked Abyss maps: every run generates a new prison, desert or volcano map
- Added the Undertow: warned 3x3 zones land across the map, and standing in one lets you sail on land for 10 seconds while monsters gain a boss modifier
- Added boss modifiers: Blink Strike, Scorched Trail, Glacial Pylons, Lightning Rod, Fault Line, Soul Tether, plus Mirror Images and Void Pylons on bosses

- Fixed the depth dial reopening one step behind after you set a new record

- Added Orrin the Unfallen, the trader stranded out there, selling trial charges, dungeon charges and a rift cosmetics catalog

- Added a pressure meter to your HUD
- Added Rift Ballast at The Abyss Merchant, a depth-gated purchase that buys the danger down without touching the yield
- Increased void family experience by 3x
The Abyss
Depth used to be a one-way ratchet: reach a wall you cannot clear and the mode was over for the season. Now you choose the depth you run at.

Build Power

Patch 0.9.9.9.192026-08-10▾
Passive Tree
The tree was rebuilt from the ground up before it ever ran on a live server, so this is the shape it keeps from here.
- Rebuilt the tree around five arcs - martial, caster, defense, support, and the new Fortune arc for essence, coins, scrap, gloomgild and elite loot
- Changed the layout from long corridors into clusters, so routes weave instead of running in straight lines
- Added six keystones: Deep Siphon, Midas Toll, Trophy Creed, Bastion Oath, Windborne and Apothecary's Vow
- Redesigned the tree visually: ring-art nodes on a star chart, node search, hover cards, and a route preview before you spend
- Fixed nodes that advertised a multiplier which did nothing
Cards

- Added Discharge epic: +20% spell damage while your mana is at least 90%

- Added card art for four more epic and legendary cards

- Fixed the Golden Rabbit never fleeing, and cut its spawn health
Loot and Gear
- Added an item that teleports you from a protection zone to an area outside the Tower
- Changed card rarity and unique drop rates to scale with the floor you killed on, so early floors no longer roll endgame-power drops
- Fixed Multi Hit compounding on every reroll, which could drive an upgraded item to absurd target counts, and capped it at 4 targets
- Changed Tower's Arm so Extended Reach also applies to targeted melee spells
- Changed Trial Badges to soulbound, and items now say so when you look at them
- Rebalanced the random stat ranges rolled on gear, with existing items rerolled into the new ranges

- Added a quest log entry, tracker bar and map marker to the Chronos Apprentice quest

- Increased damage over time ticks to full spell power parity for vocation and custom spells

Patch 0.9.9.9.182026-08-03▾
Passive Tree (Work in Progress)
The tree that replaces talents is going live unfinished, and it will keep changing. Values are still being tuned, more nodes are coming, the layout will be restructured, and the tree itself is getting a visual upgrade - so expect it to look and play differently over the next patches.
- Added the Passive Tree, an 83 node graph across four arcs - martial, caster, defense and support - replacing the talent system
- Added one tree point per 20 levels from level 20, so a level 500 character logs in with 25 points waiting
- Added spice nodes: each arc offers a pick-one menu of archetype enablers, and the two picks in an arc must differ
- Added seven keystones that unlock at level 200, each carrying a real drawback, and you may only ever have one allocated
- Added five Rites - Endurance, Discipline, Momentum, Affliction and Conjuration - for longer buffs, stronger vocation passives, earlier stack payoffs, longer afflictions and an extra rune charge
- Added a full respec for tower coins on an escalating cost, and a cheap flat fee to re-pick a single spice option
- Removed the talent system: your chosen talent is stripped on your next login, and the tree hands you a point budget from your level instead
- Redesigned the talent window into a fullscreen tree graph with drag to pan, scroll to zoom, and a detail panel showing what every node actually gives
Cards
Nine new cards, including the first that buff your summons directly.
- Added Spellsurge legendary: magic spell criticals refund half a second of every running spell cooldown
- Added Guardian's Vigil legendary: allies you healed in the last 8 seconds cannot die, once per minute each
- Added Warcaller's Litany legendary: healing a target gives it 10% more damage for 6 seconds
- Added barrier epics Spellward, Reinforced Wards and Bulwark Tempo
- Added summon epics Warden's Bond, Ironbound Collar and Bloodforged Leash, which buff your companions directly
- Added card art for all nine new cards
Unique Items
- Added Verdant Bulwark shield: every heal you deal stacks aura power for 8 seconds, up to four stacks
- Added Blightpulse Ring: your damage over time ticks shave time off every running autocast
- Fixed Blightpulse triggering off multi-hit extra hits instead of real damage over time
- Fixed Barrier Reactor still being called a prismatic necklace
Quests
- Added Sour Ground on Floor 4: Idris the wellkeeper wants the Corrosive Abominations culled, then the Acidic Colossus that keeps making them, and pays in the Toxic Toad mount
Balance
- Reduced elite, legendary and cursed monster spawn rates by about 40%
- Reduced the base essence drop chance from 1% to 0.6%; Essence Hunter cards and Essence Magnet gear are untouched and still stack on top
- Rebalanced the promotion dungeon for pre-promotion characters: Blazewarden and Embersaurus hit far softer with less health, and Molten Soul's paralyze no longer lands next to a lethal melee
- Reduced Frostmaw's ice spike damage, leaving his melee and health alone
- Increased Pyramid Guardian and Dune Devourer respawn times
Spell Effects
- Reworked the visuals on dozens of vocation spells across the Berserker, Brawler, Brute, Duelist, Echo Destroyer, Elementalist, Harmony Keeper, Monk and Pugilist kits
Interface
- Added a Wiki button to the spell list that opens the article for the selected spell
- Added minimap icons for Otherworldly Pylons, and faction vendors now show a reputation icon instead of a shop icon so you know they will turn you away without standing
- Added status icons for meals, elixirs, stances and coin effects, and group tooltips now name which ones are actually running
- Changed empty gem sockets on toggle spells to read Locked, since toggles never accepted gems
- Improved the new player guide into an arrow trail that leads to the Guardian and clears once you greet them
- Fixed the damage meter filing The Scorcher, Beastbinder, Predator, Lightning Sword, Ring of Winter and Flamebound under generic buckets instead of the item that dealt the damage
- Fixed scrapping an item asking you to confirm twice
- Fixed reward popup text spilling out over the game world
General
- Fixed several outfits not being claimable on female characters
- Fixed boss rooms not resetting the boss when the last player left
Patch 0.9.9.9.172026-08-01▾
Quests
Four new hunts across the top floors, from a statue circuit to a full floor's worth of chase.
- Added Four of the Corrupted on Floor 11: Dorn wants the four statue-bound chaos beasts of Axtralux put down, and the statues share a server-wide cooldown, so it is a circuit, not a farm
- Added Divine Fragments on Floor 12: Verity in Divinael collects fragments that only fall from Angels and Devils, five hundred of them, a trophy chase about as long as the floor itself
- Added Thin the Fleet: Pell wants the giants' Battle Ships broken, and once the server collectively breaks enough, Trionis water opens for boarding permanently
- Added The Wilting in the forest south of Haven: take three samples from the dying trees and tell Groundskeeper Mattis what killed them, because he acts on whatever you say, right or wrong
- Fixed the Floor 9 item compactor never being on the map and its marked trees never glowing
Combat Balance
A damage reduction audit turned up ways to stack far past what was intended. All of them are closed.
- Fixed the same support gem type applying twice when socketed in both slots of one spell, which could stack damage reduction into the hundreds
- Changed gem socketing so the same gem type can no longer be equipped twice on the same spell
- Fixed the Elemental Spellguard earth barrier leaving its damage reduction behind permanently on every cast
- Capped damage reduction at 80% from all sources combined
- Rebalanced Iron Shell from 4-8% to 3-5%, and Frenzy and Divinity from 6-12% to 6-10%
- Fixed Lifesteal gems healing for nearly double their listed values, and their healing now shows as real healing numbers
- Changed the Alpha and Beta kill bonus to pay a flat 2% of a level per kill on every floor
- Fixed Flurry Strike and Weapon Sweep triggering multi-hit and per-swing weapon effects on every tile they touched
General
- Fixed the breath gauge staying on screen and the drowning drain following you after teleporting out of the water
Patch 0.9.9.9.162026-07-30▾
Quests
Seven new quests, and picking a side in Saltmere is now something a quest can do for you.
- Added Kettil's Index on Floor 1: search the weapon racks scattered through the cyclops camp for Kettil the Spared
- Added Colours on Floor 7: haul down the pirate colours for the Marines, and hold the ground when the crew comes for you
- Added The Contract on Floor 7: take Brack's contract on Sleepbane for the Pirate Crew
- Added Salt and Silence on Floor 8: Halloran is bleeding out and you can help him or rob him, but he is not travelling alone
- Added Broken Keels on Floor 8: break twenty Battle Ships for the Pirate Crew
- Added The Cursing Water on Floor 8: thin forty Depth Mages for the Marines
- Added The Standing Count on Floor 9: cull sixty Marshmellow Men in the western fields of Sweetwood
- Added faction standing as a quest reward, so siding with the Marines or the Pirate Crew now earns enough reputation to start their questlines outright instead of grinding kills for it
- Added the Salt-Sworn and The Wrecker titles, which are mutually exclusive
- Added wiki entries for all seven new quests
- Changed opposed faction quests to pay identically, so doing both leaves you committed to whichever you finished second
- Fixed completed quests refusing to leave the Activity Tracker
- Fixed quest completion being invisible on about twenty quests, which only ever wrote to the console
- Fixed accept prompts that never named the word, so you no longer have to guess "yes"
- Fixed Vesh pointing you east for the Tide-born King when it spawns well to the west
Outfits
Cosmetic stat bonuses have never actually worked. They do now, and there are sixty-two more outfits to earn them on.
- Added 62 reward outfits, each carrying its own pair of stat bonuses
- Fixed outfit, mount, aura, wing, shader and effect stat bonuses never applying at all
Loot and Cards
Several drop rolls used whole numbers against fractional chances, which quietly deleted the rarest outcomes.
- Fixed legendary cards being undroppable for an entire server session, depending on when the server last restarted
- Fixed loot with a listed chance under 1% never dropping at all
- Fixed the loot rate bonus being rounded away, so a 2% card at the 1.3x bonus still paid out at 2%
- Fixed card slot investment in Essence Hunter buying nothing until it crossed a whole percent
Experience
- Reduced monster experience by 10% across every floor
- Increased experience task and Otherworldly Pylon payouts to cover the cut, so both are now worth more relative to grinding
- Increased the Fortune essence experience multiplier from 10x to 20x
- Fixed the Fortune essence dropping at its 30% testing rate on the live server
Interface
- Added a Broadcast Log keeping a rolling history of every server broadcast, so announcements you missed while hunting are still there when you get back (Ctrl+Shift+B, rebindable in Options)
- Added a breath gauge on screen while you are underwater
- Fixed the baked tower minimap never shipping with the client, so the full map promised last patch was still filling in as you walked
Floor 9
- Added a gold outline to the dream-chaos trees, which teleport you elsewhere on the floor when clicked
- Fixed the item compactor and its cake cabinet being absent from the map entirely, so the feature could never be used and its minimap marker pointed at bare ground
General
- Added a Journey step introducing the Activity Tracker, and reordered the early steps so errands and hunting no longer interleave
- Added Water Spirit spawns along the Thalassa shoreline
- Fixed dungeon exits dropping you on top of whatever was already standing there
- Fixed drowning damage continuing after your breath was restored
- Fixed Chef Praline speaking at a third of everyone else's pace
- Removed the gold outline from fast travel discovery tiles, which are meant to be found rather than advertised
Patch 0.9.9.9.152026-07-28▾
Quests
Quests you could already do were invisible in the quest log. That is fixed, and there are three new ones.
- Added Venom Harvest on Floor 3: draw venom from a LIVING Vine Lurker by wounding it below 30% health and using a vial before it dies, because killing it wastes the venom
- Added Salt and Memory on Floor 5: put the drowned court to rest, then choose between sparing them and taking the crown - the two endings pay differently and you can only ever have one
- Added The Tidewright's Valves on Floor 6: shut three vents in the ruins, each a fifteen second hold you cannot move during while your breath drains
- Added more than a dozen existing quests to the quest log, including Hunting Yeti, Runic Curiosity, Cat Lady's Request, the Scorching Manticore and both Saltmere questlines
- Added the three gathering tutorials to the log: Miner's Challenge, Angler's Challenge and Nature's Lesson
Activity Tracker
- Added quests to the activity tracker, with live progress bars for anything countable
- Added a filter to show only Journey, quests, bounties or hunt tasks
- Changed row order so Journey leads and quests sit beneath it, and quests take the top slot once your Journey is done
- Fixed quest progress bars never filling in
- Fixed newly accepted quests not showing up until you relogged
Navigation
The floors are large and a lot of content was effectively invisible.
- Added the full tower minimap from your first login, so the map no longer fills in only where you have walked
- Added a marker beside every quest giver's name and on the minimap
- Added crafting icons for Chef Gordon, Alchemist Magnus and Cyndrilth the Crafter
- Added minimap markers for dungeons, raids, instanced quests, floor boss doors, the Abyss entrance, the experience shrines, the item compactor and the ancient traders

General
- Fixed a server crash that could drop everyone offline when scripts were reloaded
Patch 0.9.9.9.122026-07-26▾
Autocast
- Fixed Health and Mana Tonic rules created by Auto Setup pointing at the wrong item, so the tonics were never actually used
Patch 0.9.9.9.112026-07-26▾
PvP
The PvP mode switch was half-migrated to the expert hands, so several gates were reading the wrong flag.
- Fixed Red Fist doing nothing: you could lock a target but every hit was silently dropped, and runes or targeted spells were refused with a secure mode warning
- Fixed the secure mode checkbox having no effect: unticking it now opts you back into open PvP if you never picked an expert hand
- Fixed party members being attackable: allies are protected under every hand, including when they are skulled or have already hit you
- Fixed Yellow Hand letting you attack unskulled party members, which was the opposite of what it promised
- Changed mind control effects to ignore party protection, so being turned on your own allies works as intended
Quick Settings
Auto actions used to only fire the moment an item was delivered, which is why they "did not work until you moved the item".
- Added a backpack sweep: turning auto use or auto deposit on now applies it to what you are already carrying, and it runs again on login
- Fixed stat stones, potions and cards sometimes never being auto used when they stacked onto ones you already had
- Fixed loot box rewards only obeying auto scrap, so stat stones and potions from boxes are now auto used too
- Changed auto scrap to never destroy gear you have worn: once equipped an item is permanently exempt, so moving equipment into your bag to upgrade it is safe
- Changed auto scrap to only act on items you have just picked up, so turning a filter on can never eat what is already in your backpack
- Changed the item type chips in the scrap filter to mean "scrap this type" instead of "keep this type"; your existing selection is converted for you on login
- Added a wiki section explaining the three auto scrap filters and everything they will never touch
Minimap
- Added NPC icons to the minimap, one per spawned NPC on the floor you are viewing, with shopkeepers marked separately
Autocast
- Added Health and Mana Tonics to Auto Setup: if you are carrying them, the rotation adds use rules paced to their real cooldown
Interface
- Changed unique and mythic items to a magenta highlight instead of red, across tooltips, chat links, containers, the bestiary and loot previews
- Added an ornate frame to item tooltips, with a larger item name, group dividers and a rarity tinted border
- Improved readability of effect and flavour text in item tooltips
- Fixed spell descriptions being cut off in the Spell List, which now wraps them properly
Patch 0.9.9.9.102026-07-25▾
Combat
A pass over how bosses move and how hard everything hits.
- Rebalanced boss movement speed across the whole roster, so bosses no longer outrun their own telegraphs and their mechanics are dodgeable as intended
- Reduced melee damage on around 230 monsters and bosses, taking the edge off unavoidable burst
- Reduced Glaciron's melee damage from 375-575 down to 300-460
Fixes
- Fixed potions and other inventory items doing nothing while you were running: the use could be silently dropped whenever you took another step
- Fixed The Guardian's upgrades never applying
- Fixed Shardlings never spawning
Patch 0.9.9.9.92026-07-25▾
Journey
The early Journey was reordered so the tower teaches you its tools before it asks you to fight.
- Reworked the opening steps to set up Autocast, Autoloot and Quick Settings first, so the rest of the tutorial plays with your automation already running
- Added Journey steps for Autoloot, Quick Settings and the Bestiary, each rewarding coins or stat stones
- Changed the starter card step to point at the Mysterious Stranger on Floor 1 instead of Floor 2
- Changed the bounty step to completing on opening the Tasks board, so it no longer waits on a full bounty
- Added two late Journey steps: clearing the Trap Dungeon on Floor 4 for the Swift Stride spell, and finding the Arena in Blackwater
- Improved Journey directions and tips throughout: where Scientist Lucas stands, where the stairs to Floor 2 are, where the Tinkerer trades, and how the Abyss key actually works
- Added catch up detection to the new steps, so anything you already did counts the moment the step comes up
Bosses and Encounters
- Rebalanced Glaciron's mirror stance: reflected damage cut from 75% to 20%, capped at 4% of your maximum health per hit, and limited to once per second
- Added a telegraph to Glaciron's mirror stance, with ring pulses and a warning so you can see the reflect coming instead of dying to it
- Fixed bosses keeping their damage reduction forever after the barrier visibly faded, which made them permanently resistant until a server restart
- Fixed Otherworldly Pylon events stalling at full integrity when a wave failed to spawn, leaving the event dead until it timed out
Abyss
- Removed the two poison cellar instances for quality, leaving six Abyss instances
Essences
- Reduced the essence drop rate from three percent to one percent per kill
- Changed essences to only start dropping once you have unlocked Floor 2, so Floor 1 stays clear of systems you have not been taught
General

Patch 0.9.9.9.82026-07-24▾

- Added a warning before rerolling an Ascended item with the Orb of Chaos, which destroys the Ascension
