Description

Legendary Ascension is an end-game upgrade for your legendary items, powered by Ascendant Shards earned at the hardest dungeon difficulties.

Ascendant Shards

Ascendant Shards drop at the highest dungeon difficulty (see the Difficulty entry under Dungeons). Combine a full stack of shards to forge an Ascendant Orb.

Ascending a Legendary

Use an Ascendant Orb on a legendary item to Ascend it - a one-time, permanent boost to that legendary's effect. Each of your legendaries can be ascended once.

Transfer and Reroll

A Legendary Transfer Scroll carries the ascension along with the effect when you move it to a new item. Rerolling an ascended item's effect strips the ascension (you are warned first), so you cannot ascend and then reroll into a better effect for free.
