The words on your gear mean exact things

Cards, items and passive nodes are written in a small shared vocabulary. Every term below means one specific thing everywhere it appears, so once you know a word you can read any item in the game without guessing.

The entries here are grouped by what they tell you - when an effect fires, which attacks count, how it stacks with your other bonuses, and what each stat actually does.

The one that costs people the most damage

Increased and more are not the same word. Increased joins a shared pool with everything else of its kind; more is its own multiplier on top. A single more is usually worth several increaseds of the same size.
