Description
The fishing system allows players to catch various fish throughout the tower. Fish can be traded with the chef for cooked meals that provide temporary bonuses.
Location
Fish at any water tile throughout the tower. Trade fish with the Chef on Floor 5 (Haven).
Fishing Requirements
Fishing rod and worms required to fish. Worms are only consumed when you actually hook a fish.
Bite & Strike Mini-Game
Casting your line starts a two-phase mini-game. First comes the wait: the bobber sits on the water, and striking too early spooks the fish. When the bite lands, the bobber sweeps across the bar - tap at the right moment to strike. Landing the strike inside the green sweet-spot hooks the fish, and the closer to the centre you hit, the more fish you pull up (up to double). Letting the sweep finish means the fish escapes. Your reflexes map directly to your reward, with no random failure once hooked.
Skill Scaling
Higher Fishing skill widens the sweet-spot and slows the sweep, making the strike more forgiving. Patience, then reflex - where mining rewards steady heat control and herbalism rewards a well-timed release, fishing tests your timing.
