Description
Cursed events are challenging encounters that randomly spawn throughout the tower, providing risk-reward experiences that test your combat abilities.
Cursed Chests
Cursed chests randomly spawn on floors throughout the tower. Opening a chest triggers a timed monster encounter.
Spawn: Every 3 minutes on all floors except cities. Remain for 30 minutes.
Mechanics: Opening spawns a random number of floor monsters around you. You have 5 minutes to kill all spawned monsters. One chest at a time - dying fails the event.
Rewards: Experience or gold based on your level. Solo completion grants 50% bonus. Clearing in under 2 minutes grants additional 20% bonus.
Cursed Pylons
Cursed pylons work similarly to cursed chests but offer a greater challenge with greater rewards.
Spawn: Same as cursed chests - every 3 minutes on non-city floors.
Mechanics: Activating a pylon spawns 3 waves of monsters instead of 1. Same time limits and failure conditions as chests.
Rewards: 3x the rewards of regular cursed chests. Same solo and speed bonuses apply.
Cursed Dimensions
Cursed dimensions are portals that can appear after killing monsters, transporting you to a special hunting ground.
Spawn: Can spawn after killing any monster.
Mechanics: Enter the portal to access a dimension filled with monsters based on the floor you're on.
Rewards: All kills inside count as 2x progress toward task kills.
The Warden
Every cursed dimension you clear charges a persistent Curse Meter (shown as a HUD banner inside the dimension). Every 5th clear, your next portal becomes a Warden arena instead of a normal hunt.
Mechanics: A floor-banded Warden mini-boss spawns alongside a handful of support monsters. Slaying the Warden completes the run instantly.
Wardens: Warden of Rust (Floors 2-4), Warden of Ash (Floors 5-7), Warden of the Void (Floors 8-10).
Rewards: Each Warden drops a guaranteed themed reward on death.
Cursed Monsters
Cursed monsters are special creatures that can appear when killing any monster.
Spawn: Chance to spawn after killing any monster.
Mechanics: Cursed monsters remain passive until attacked. They do not appear in the battle list and can only be damaged after you auto-attack them once.
Rewards: Enhanced rewards compared to normal monsters.
Multiplayer
Other players can assist you in killing monsters, but only the person who triggered the event receives the rewards (for chests and pylons).
